Hilti appoints new CEO | construction equipment

Mike McGowan will be promoted to CEO of Hilti North America effective October 1. He replaces Martina McIsaac, who has resigned from her post.

McGowan is currently SVP and General Manager of Hilti North America East Market Organization. In his new role as CEO and Regional Head, he will also be part of the Hilti Group management team. Mike was chosen after an extensive internal search for a candidate with a proven track record of success, a deep understanding of the construction industry and a commitment to the company culture.

McGowan joined Hilti in 1988 as a Hilti Store Sales Associate and was steadily promoted to positions of increasing responsibility in sales and marketing before taking over the top spot for Hilti’s Eastern US operations. United in 2002.

“For more than 35 years, I have been committed to Hilti, its team members and its customers,” McGowan said in a prepared statement. “Since the beginning of my career, the construction industry has been my passion. I look forward to continuing to build on an already strong foundation of success working alongside the more than 4,000 team members who have chosen to make Hilti North America their professional home.
