Hilti launches an API for asset management

ON!Track Unite is an open application programming interface (API) that unifies data from multiple sources for software integration. The platform, from Hilti North America, “transforms what is often complex and manual into a seamless digital experience,” according to the company. The platform improves data quality and consistency and automates processes involving ON!Track tool tracking and asset management.

ON!Track Unite is an add-on that improves the efficiency of the ON!Track management system. The open API facilitates seamless exchange of data between ON!Track and other applications that construction professionals use to run their business.

The platform is designed to support two main integration scenarios. Customers can use off-the-shelf integrations available on the market or create their own integrations leveraging the open ON!Track Unite API. Developers can rely on guidance and modern API documentation on the ON!Track Unite hub to easily build scalable integrations. Construction industry players can offer their common customers a pre-built integration between ON!Track and the application they develop or distribute, referenced on the integration marketplace.

The market already includes many integrations, including Fieldwire, Trackunit and Procore.

“This API-driven approach helps enable integrations with other applications so that ON!Track Unite can meet the exact needs of each customer, delivering a unified experience and unlocking new business value,” said Thibaud Lefebvre, senior manager of tool services. , in a prepared statement. “Customers who use the ON!Track Unite platform will see a dramatic change in the way they run their business, as it avoids manual duplicate data entry, helps to properly allocate asset and consumable costs, and opens the door to increased transparency of the tool nursery. We believe this technology will help our partners make better data-driven decisions and take productivity to new heights.”

Fleet customers of Hilti’s newest cordless tool platform, Nuron, can leverage innovation for a fully connected experience. The tools generate data which is then stored on Nuron batteries and securely sent to the cloud on every charge without any operator interaction. Data collected includes information about tool usage, charging location, and battery health. This information is accessible via ON!Track and will soon be available on the open API ON!Track Unite.
