UAE-based MEP and civil construction product supplier Hira Industries has expanded its production facility based in the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), adding an additional 100,000 square feet of land.
The additional acreage of the RAKEZ Al Ghail industrial zone will help Hira add additional storage capacity for its building and construction products as well as introduce new products to its existing lines, RAKEZ said in a press release.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, managing director of RAKEZ, attended a groundbreaking ceremony marking the start of construction, the statement said.
He noted that the investment is expected to create around 100 new jobs within the Ras Al Khaimah ecosystem.
Prakash Sarvaiya, Managing Director of Hira Industries, said, “We continue to grow in the construction products sector with our team, partners and associates in UAE and around the world. The start of our new RAKEZ expansion adds to our list of accomplishments that we are proud of.
Ramy Jallad, CEO of RAKEZ Group, added: “We aim for our commercial and industrial areas to house thriving brands that cater to local and international markets. “
The press release also states that the company is set to open new facilities in Vietnam and the United States in the near future.
