Ritchie Bros. ‘ The November Market Trends Report continues to show positive price trends across all of its equipment indexes, with wheel loader prices up 13%.
The report also shows that prices for average earthmoving equipment rose 36 percent in the United States, while tractor trucks and professional trucks rose 45 percent and 34 percent, respectively (for the three months ending 31 October 2021). The price of crawler bulldozers has increased by 10%.
“Supply chain issues continue to disrupt the equipment market, resulting in drops in volume and older assets with higher utilization in the market in 2021,” said Doug Olive, senior vice president ( pricing), Ritchie Bros. “This tight supply combined with the unprecedented demand that we are passing through our many markets translates into high prices in almost all asset classes, including earth moving equipment such as bulldozers, loaders and articulated dump trucks. “
Doug Rusch, Managing Director of Rouse Sales, added, “We continue to see high prices for used equipment, with retail values up an additional 2% in October. Along with this increase, we are also seeing a persistent slowdown in transaction volumes as supply continues chain issues continue to lead to prudent fleet management decisions. Retail values are now 14% higher than in January 2021. “
