Sandvik acquired Allied Construction Products. Allied will undergo a rebranding in 2021, changing the company name to Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions North America and marketing all products under the Rammer brand.
“People will be the same, the products will be the same and the commitment to providing exceptional service will remain the same,” said Jonas Lindqvist, who has been appointed CEO of the company to be renamed Sandvik. “We will continue to do well what Allied has done well for many years. This includes striving to provide impeccable service to our resellers and customers, and continuing to examine current and better ways to produce, deliver and support our quality products.
Sandvik already owned 21% of Allied, which was the North American distributor of Sandvik’s Rammer hydraulic hammers, before the acquisition was completed on October 1, 2020. Shortly thereafter, Lindqvist was appointed to the management position.
“Later this year,” said Lindqvist, “we will be expanding our Rammer product lines beyond hydraulic breakers and compactors in North America. We intend to be a complete supplier of excellent fastening tools.
He added that Sandvik’s decision to acquire Allied was influenced by the skill, experience and service spirit of its employees, evolving through a history dating back to 1942. The operational footprint of Allied and the collection of loyal distributors also influenced the decision.
The company will move from its downtown Cleveland location to a facility in the same region that will provide more space for warehousing, service and manufacturing. “The Cleveland-based operation will support all of North America, including Allied and Sandvik customers,” Lindqvist said. “We are 100% committed to the North American market and believe that investing in a strong local presence in all aspects of the business is the key to success. “
Scott Scholz, District Manager for the Northeast US and Eastern Canada, says, “Our distributors and rental companies look to the future because they know Sandvik takes all the positive things we do. , and they support us and allow us to grow. “
