Sherwin-Williams appoints minority construction management companies for new global headquarters and R&D center project

The initial set of selected companies will provide construction management services, with four of the five also providing specialist employees capable of performing activities such as carpentry, carpentry and painting. The companies are based in Northeastern Ohio and belong to minorities or women. The companies joining the project are:

Sherwin-Williams plans to invest a minimum of $ 600 million to build both the head office and the R&D facilities. The new global headquarters will be approximately 1,000,000 square feet. The new R&D center of Brecksville will have an area of ​​approximately 600,000 square feet.

Together, the two facilities will house more than 3,500 employees with room to accommodate future growth. Sherwin-Williams estimates that it will add a minimum of 400 jobs to these facilities over time, an 11 percent increase in the company’s current local workforce.
