In this spotlight session, we review Volvo CE’s recent article for World Pipelines, titled “The Greco-Bulgarian Connection”. The article, which appeared in the October 2021 issue of World Pipelines, discusses the company’s involvement in the Greece-Bulgaria Gas Interconnection Project (ICGB). The laying of the 182 km gas pipeline between Greece and Bulgaria marks an important step in cross-border collaboration and brings with it a more secure supply of low-carbon gas to Bulgaria. The article describes the colossal task of laying the pipeline and details the machines used to deal with the many challenges posed by the megaproject.
