Trimble sells Loadrite and Spectra Precision Tools

Trimble has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its Time and Frequency, Loadrite, Spectra Precision Tools and SECO accessories businesses to Precisional LLC, a subsidiary of The Jordan Co. The divestiture is consistent with Trimble’s strategy to focus on the areas essential to its long-term growth and strategic product roadmap.

“We are continually evaluating our product portfolio as we work to execute Trimble’s Connect and Scale 2025 strategy,” said Rob Painter, president/CEO of Trimble, in a prepared statement. “Trimble is focused on connected industrial platforms and digital business transformation capabilities, making Precisional and TJC ideal solutions for business growth.

TJC, a private equity firm, completes acquisition in partnership with industry executive Drew Ladau to form Precisional LLC (“Precisional”), a global platform focused on precision measurement and data solutions enabling the efficiency in the most demanding infrastructure end markets.

“The Trimble companies that will join Precisional have a long tradition of innovation, and each is a leader in the markets they serve,” Precisional CEO Drew Ladau said in a statement. “I am thrilled to build on this strong foundation alongside the dedicated employees who have served their customers so well over the years. Additionally, we plan to accelerate the pace of innovation and growth by focusing resources and investments on these core businesses supported by TJC. »

Said Erik Fagan, Partner at TJC:

“Precisional’s acquisition of four industry-leading businesses from Trimble forms the foundation for a new platform focused on accurate measurement and analytical information to improve productivity in a wide range of applications that rely on precision and reliability. By supporting existing management to invest in Precisional’s operations and product development to integrate precision measurement with data solutions and improve disconnectivity, we intend to accelerate growth opportunities while pursuing synergistic acquisitions. .
